My mom and dad are struggling to accept the guy I want to date because he is of a different race. They want me to date someone like me but they refuse to see how he is like me. My father is battling a rare cancer
My father, Walter Sydney Shelton, had been fighting numerous health issues for the last 11 years. All of which had a surgical solution until now. He had surgery in April of this year and while recovering we began to notice weight loss and decreased appetite. He started suffering from Kidney stones and ended up in the ER due to the pain. While doing the CT scan to confirm the stones the doctors noticed a lesion on his liver. They sent him to UVA for further evaluation. After two months, two biopsies & many trips to UVA they finally gave us a diagnosis. But not one we were expecting. My father has been diagnosed with intraheptic cholangiocarcinoma, a rare & aggressive cancer that has no cure and has left him with only months to live. Please pray for my father as he begins this battle. Pray for strength and for mercy. Pray for our family as well. Thank you. Walter Sydney Shelton
