Prayers for my husband, Bill, as he has a lung biopsy for suspicious malignancy on January 26th at the Salem V.A. Our prayer is that it is a benign growth. Prayers for a peaceful week at work with no drama and for me to find someone to spend the rest of my life with Prayer for mother in law, Sarah, to be healed from whatever is going on with her. She has been to doctors and no one seems to be able to help her. Prayer for her to be strong and healthy again. Pray for my son and his wife to get away from a church in NC. The pastor does not speak the truth at times and when the pastor is asked he does not respond. It appears the pastor force/scare people into speaking tongues and twists the bible for his benefit. It appears the pastor does not allow anyone to be a part of any decisions including finances, hiring, building, etc and does not provide financial statements. He dictates what the congregation should do and not do. No one should listen to secular music, watch television, or have worldly things – however his family can wear the expensive clothing, have worldly things, and go do worldly things. He is building “his congregation” by having young adults get married and “encouraging them to start having babies. He appears to be a male chauvinist and women are for having sex, babies, tending to the children, and cooking. He preached to have your marriage annulled if you haven’t had sex in a month. He has preached that they will build a school and campground to “shelter” from the outside world. He says he has met with people from Michigan about building this in NC. It appears none of the members met with these people about building either (only the pastor). Recently a visiting pastor preached to the congregation about selling their things and giving it to the church. Now the pastor has preached that some of them will be able to write checks to the church for 3,000. It appears people are isolated from their family and friends by having “things at the church for them”. I’m very concerned this is a cult like Jim Jones or Waco, TX. A lot of them look like they are very poor or homeless and they do without but the pastor lives in a very nice home with nice furnishings and nice cars.
Please pray God shows the pastor the truth and that my son and his wife gets away from this church alive. Pray we can speak in love and truth and that they see the truth. We found out today our landlord does not want to offer us a renewal on our lease. We have until March 31st to get out. We can't find a place to live because our credit is so low that the only places that can work with us have a year to 2 year waitlist. We've already been homeless once. I don't want to go through that again. For God to help me to continue path I am on and graduate strong and to always honor in him in what I do in school and out school at work I am having a very hard time. I work and work but it feel and look like I am not getting anywhere. I have gotten Soo deep in a hole and I can not see myself out of it. It feels like the devil is trying to take hold of me I always have helped people I am also very ill with cancer. I have not been taking my medicine like I am suppose to due to many work hours and being in lots of pain. I still get up and go to work I do not complain. My bills have gotten Soo behind. I need prays for my friend Jeannette R her sister is in congestive heart failure and her other sister had dementia and she is taking car of both I do not know if they are saved but I pray they are also there is a baby name Theresa that weighed only 1lb 3ozs she is 3 weeks old now still fighting she has brain bleeds pray for strength Prayers for a peaceful and good week and a way to save money and meet my financial commitments - praise for answered prayers Sally Wieringa
