I am a Fire Captain in Lynchburg, and earlier this year I was attacked by a local LGBTQ+ organization for posting a political cartoon on social media in opposition to the Equality Act, and giving transgender adults access to public restrooms where children are. I stand by my belief because I know where God stands on this issue, and I am with Him!
They tried to have my “cancelled,” called for me to be fired, and so on. I filed a lawsuit proactively for free speech rights, right to free exercise of religion, and some other associated claims. This is an important fight right now.
I was promptly suspended by the Fire Chief for a “new investigation.” I just received the results of that, and it is based on lies and misrepresentations. This is literally a persecution for Christianity-based beliefs on morality.
They have notified me that they intend to terminate me from employment on October 19. I have a wife and 4 children, but I also know that God calls us to stand against evil, and that I am accountable to Him over man’s law. I am fighting this, and it is a righteous battle in a spiritual war that is alive and well in our country right now. I cannot stand by and let evil prevail.
I ask that you pray for peace and wisdom from God for me, my family, and my legal team. I also ask that you pray for the courage of others that are coming forward on my behalf. I also ask that you pray for my ability to provide for my family in the short term if we are not successful in getting the injunction we are filing for. This is a challenging time, but we must not back down from the battles God brings us into, because He wouldn’t bring us into them if He couldn’t carry us through them.

Prayers for a family friend who is facing a court battle from false accusations amidst a divorce. His faith is weak. He was admitted to the hospital on 9/19 with Covid pneumonia, had atrial fibrillation and threw blood clots to the brain and his lungs. Suffered a stroke, discovered his right carotid artery is completely blocked. He is very confused, angry, inpatient, and needs a miracle from God . God’s Will be done. I’m seeking a job after two decades as a stay-at-home mom. Please pray that God would provide the best job for me.
Also pray that my husband and I in leading our 19-year-old daughter that is making some terrible life decisions. She tells us she is a Jesus follower but her choices and lack of wisdom say otherwise. She wants connection with us (for which we are thankful) but without any accountability. Prayers for Paul W that was involved in a farming accident. Prayers for his healing, and recovery. Prayers for Gods complete healing over my abdominal and back discomfort. I know He is working! Please continue to pray for my daughter Sarah.
