Please pray for my husband, Nelson, who has shoulder surgery on Thursday. He is in tremendous pain. Pray for relief and healing. Asking for prayer for my daughter, 25, to be motivated to pursue career opportunities when they present themselves. She avoids uncertainty. She's had several opportunities since graduating from LU but always finds an excuse to play it safe. I am asking for prayer for my brother and his family. It's a truly unbelievable situation.
My sister-in-law is deeply entrenched in the occult (believes she sees spirits of dead relatives and believes she and her daughter are dragons...yep). My brother grew up with me in a strong, loving Christian family but has been influenced by his wife (and 21yo daughter who follows everything her mother says) and he has become apathetic. He does not want to leave and does not believe anything we tell him. We are praying God will move him to believe these unbelievable things that are happening under his roof.
SIL has been having an affair with another man, also involved in the occult, for almost 20 years, and he has lived in their home as a boarder for about 15 years. Brother does not believe this is happening (we have proof). Neither she nor the other man work, but the two of them often travel to mystic meetings, sightseeing trips, and visiting friends and family, all on my brother's salary.
We have spent years praying and trying to have the best relationship with them that we can, and we love them all and don't want to lose what little influence we have. but it's finally becoming utterly clear that she does not want a relationship with us if we don't accept her mystic religion as well as her open relationship with this other man in my brother's home.
We ask for prayer for clarity moving forward specifically with my brother. We have asked him to move to Lynchburg with us but he doesn't want to because his wife has convinced him she is not having an affair. We have prayed and prayed that his eyes would be opened to the truth.
We also ask for prayer for ourselves, that we would know how much to share with him because we don't want him to shut us out completely since she has convinced him that we are spying on him.
Prayer for my manager, Dennis, that the LORD will lead, direct and let His face shine upon him. Dennis has been kind and level headed toward me at work and would like for him to be blessed, for him to grow and the LORD to use him. For my son Michael . He has a court hearing on Friday. Pray for grace and forgiveness that the hero in the room will be with him. That Hero being the Lord Jesus Christ. He is mentally drained. I need him back home Thank you for your prayers for little baby Waylon. He is in NICU and is doing well. He was 1.8 pounds. Please continue to pray for health and growth for him as well as stamina for his parents. Thank you for your faithfulness. Please pray for me, I am trusting the Lord to come through for me financially to sustain me and my children and for me to be able to finish my program at Liberty and go to the field where He is leading to serve Him. Please pray for my marriage! My husband has been having an affair for over a year. Please pray that God would remove the other woman from my marriage and break the chains that are binding my husband. Pray that the scales would be removed from his eyes and he would truly repent and turn back to God. Please pray that what the enemy has stolen from my family would be returned. Please pray for my health concern (healing). Also pray for my finances. I need a job. Thank you for your prayers everyone. Torie
