Memory Verses: Psalm 100
Psalm 100:1 Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! 2 Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. 3 Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. 4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. 5 For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.

1. We Serve Him

v1 Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! 2 Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing.

– we serve at His pleasure, and it is a great honor that we can
– not only for the impact it brings for Him, but for the joy it brings to us

2. He Is Our Creator and Sustainer

v3 Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

– His great love for us as our creator causes Him to take care of us
– Even when you don’t feel as the shepherd is close, he always is

3. We Can Stand In His Presence

v4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name

– we have this great gift of being able to approach Him, boldly

Heb. (NLT) 4:16a So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God…

– confidence that we can always enter into His presence without question or fear

4. He Has Shown Us Mercy

v5a (NKJV) For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting…
v5a (NLT) For the Lord is good, His unfailing love continues forever…

Heb, 4:16b …There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

– we do not deserve His mercy but He gives it…always

5. His Truth Will Never End

v5b (NKJV) …And His truth endures to all generations.
v5b (NLT) …and his faithfulness continues to each generation.

– every promise He’s given in His Word are absolute
– they can be counted on in the best of days and the worst of days
– His love never fails – 1 Cor. 13
